I'm back!

Hello Again,

I'm back from vacations. I had a blast, and happy to be back. But being back just makes me want to go on vacations again! Cruises are sooo addicting. Doing nothing but having fun, going to the beach and having food ready for you all the time, what is there to complain about?! These vacations I actually did a lot of relaxing and sleeping. I needed it after last year. But I did more relaxing than I wanted to. I have this thing that every vacations I go to something bad happens to me. Well this year I broke a toe. Yes, a toe. I'm not going to give any explanations, lol. Anyways, I wished I could have taken photos, but since it happened right at the beginning of my vacations, well, many times I didn't take my camera out with me. And the first days I just wanted to sleep cause of the pain. Either way, I am back, and gonna start blogging some shoots I did before I left so stay tuned!

January- Out of Office.

I have a year with my blog! I just can't believe how fast time flew and how busy I was in my first year that I actually put myself out there a bit more. It was genuinely a year that taught me sooo much and at the same time humbled me a lot more. I am always trying to better myself, and outdo the previous shoot. Maybe I go above and beyond, but I just want to make sure that I do things right. This year, I have goals set in mind. Some changes here and there, but everything for the best. Just can't wait to see all the beautiful people I will get a chance to photograph this year. If you are having a baby, getting married, or need a "just because", send me an email, and I would love to capture that special moment for you.

The beginning of the year is always very special to me cause it's my wedding anniversary. And we always celebrate it by going somewhere. In other words, I will be "out of the office" until January 24th. If you need to get a hold of me, please send me an email and I will gladly return your message once I get back.

Thanks so much everybody for believing in me, and getting my name out there, and visiting my blog.
We're going to be celebrating our 6 year anniversary. Happy anniversary to us!!!

Baby Roque Lukas

Our little adventure with RL (Lukas, Roque, RL... ) started when Cindy was pregnant with him. Cindy looked beautiful pregnant, and I wanted to do a maternity shoot of her but didn't dare to ask. I don't like to be pushy or impose for people to use me, even if we are friends or related.
A month before her due date she mentioned to me if there was still time to do a
maternity shoot, and of course I said yes. I knew we were risking it
and the only time I had open was for two weeks before her due date. We set the date, started planning the details and locations. Turned out baby Lukas wanted to participate in this shoot outside the tummy, cause he came a day or two before our planned shoot. Although sad we didn't do our shoot, we were just excited for Baby Lukas to be born happy and healthy.

Now to make up for the maternity shoot that wasn't, here is a shoot of baby Lukas at 5 months.
He is so cute, and here you can see.
This little pose was all him! He quickly made that move and caught it on time.
I got a lot of these photos. He was fascinated by his hands.
This next set screams LOVE, and that special bond between a mother and her child. I specially love the right photo. The eye contact and little Roque touching his mothers face... priceless.
I took advantage of the beautiful fall leaves.
I just love these next photos and how the colors pop, and at the same time little Lukas was having a blast with the leaves.
It got cold and it looked like it was about to rain. Since we didn't want to get caught in the rain we decided to take the photos inside and take some nude photos of him. Problem was that he didn't want to sleep. He fought it all the way through. This photo is the only nude sleeping photo I was able to catch, cause seconds later he was all smiles again.
This cute sad puppy face came about from the word "no".
How can you not melt with this little look?! So adorable.
Thanks Cindy and Bobby for letting me capture these special moments for you.

Preview- Karla & Silver

This weekend I had a "just because" shoot. Isn't that awesome?! Karla and Silver are getting close to their 8th year anniversary and wanted to update their photos. So this is a preview of what is coming up soon. Enjoy!

Naeli and Daniel

There is one thing I cannot add to a photo, and that is chemistry between a couple in a shoot. I can pick a nice location, set up a pose, but when a couple let sparks fly, its magic in my eyes and on my lens. This was the case with Naeli and Daniel. Their love and intensity for each other was so evident that sometimes I had to step back and catch my breath!
This love story started almost 8 years ago when Daniel approached Naeli at an assembly and asked her for her number. She only gave him an email address. Months passed and Naeli didn't hear from him. Later on she found out the struggles he had because all that time he was writing her email address wrong.
I'll let her explain the rest:
"After months of emailing each other and chatting online, he finally melt my heart and it was the most simple yet great sensation I have ever felt. What did it for me was that he made me laugh so much and I knew right then and there that this fellow might be something special."

They will finally tie the knot next March. Can't wait to photograph that special day for both of you.

Now please see these next photos, I love them, and hope you love them too!

If I had to choose, this one is one of my top five favorites. Love love it!
The day quickly turned into night so we changed the setting.

We came back the next morning for some extra photos,
and it was totally worth it.
I love the intensity in these next photos.
