Jasmin & Noel - Engagement Session

This weekend Noel and Jasmin get married!
This was their engagement session we shot a month back. They're a cute couple and can't wait to capture their special day.

Diana & Josh - Wedding Preview

A preview of Diana pre-ceremony:

Diana & Josh - Engagement Session

THIS ONE IS A LONG ONE:
In the end of last year my cousin-in-law gave us the wonderful news that she was getting married. As a photographer, I secretly hoped she'd chose me to photograph her wedding. She was as excited as I was for me to be her photographer. When she told me she wanted a themed engagement session, of course I was up for the challenge. She was getting a 1920's wedding dress made. I started researching what I could about that era. Most of the photography is serious, with strong poses and no smiles. Next was looking for a site. The Ebell Club of Long Beach was the first place that came to my mind. I had my wedding there and I obviously feel a strong connection to the place. I knew it was the perfect place, elegant and beautiful as it is, it was also built in the 1920's. After I contacted the manager Liz, she gracefully us permission to shoot there.
Silvia from Sassy Make-up collaborated with the hair and make-up and was a wonderful help thru part of the shoot. http://los-angeles-makeup-artist.blogspot.com/
Diana was a natural in front of the camera. We had so much fun shooting these.
Here are just some of many beautiful photos we took there in February:

This one is my favorite
I played with the light for a different look for the following photo.

It was time to move outdoors and take advantage of the natural light and background.

The Charleston
Diana had another costume change so we took advantage of another location.
I found a 1920's era trolley and headed there.

This photo was the one chosen to display at their bridal shower.

And last, a change to regular clothes for a more modern feel.

It was cute watching these two. Their love was evident through out the whole shoot.

A special thanks to the Ebell Club, Silvia with Sassy Make-Up and my husband Steve for their wonderful help.

Janet - Pregnancy Session

In October I met Elsy, a sweetheart by the way, thru some mutual friends, and later she contacted me to let me know her sister-in-law was pregnant (first niece and grandaughter in her side of the family) and they were really excited. She wanted her sister-in-law to have a pregnancy session. Once I got in contact with Janet, mother-to-be, we made all the arrangements and met in the OC for a quick session.
These are the photos of the pregnancy shoot we did in Novermber 09. They are a little late but since I was showing her daughters' newborn photos I thought it would be great to bring these out to show.
Janet looked beautiful and happy.

Here's Janet's husband Giovanni, and their doggie Cody.

Cody, though a cute dog, didn't like me following him. Here's proof of it.

Then we went to a trail nearby and shot these last photos of Janet. I love how the trees outline her belly in the second shot.

And the last photo... she looked beautiful.

Scarlet, 3 mths - Baby Portraits

Photographing a baby is always a challenge. You never know what mood they will be in next. Fortunately with Scarlet it was a breeze. She was happy happy joy joy most of the time. I say that because in the end I knew she had enough of me. But we were able to capture lots of beautiful expressions.

Her beautiful mommy Jackie was visiting with Scarlet from Florida. While here we did this photoshoot. Enjoy!

After a quick nap, we were ready for more.

Scarlet's dad, Eric, joined us for some photos.

Then her beautiful aunt and my good friend Silvia joins also.

Jackie looked stunning / A three generation photo

And last but not least, Some with her grandma.

Can't wait till you guys come back and visit again.
